Wow I can't remember the last time UCLA football was looking like an actual contender !
Ty Dieffenbach threw two 75-yard touchdown passes to Aidan Mizell in the fourth quarter to power the Bruins past the Golden Gophers. Wayne Knight added 109 rushing yards and a touchdown to keep UCLA a perfect 9-0 on the season and 6-0 in Big Ten play.
Minnesota tied the game at 17-17 in the fourth quarter when Drake Lindsey found George Rohl for a 4-yard touchdown pass. However, the Bruins immediately responded with Dieffenbach hitting Mizell on consecutive one-play drives to seal the victory.
Kicker Luke Drzewiecki missed two
56-yard field goals for Minnesota, breaking his FBS-best streak of 26 consecutive made field goals earlier in the game. With the win, first-year head coach Bob Chesney has tied the largest year-over-year turnaround in program history following a 3-9 season in 2025.
